The Jade Foundation
served as a Premier Sponsor of Wishes & More’s 2008
Valentine Ball, with a grant of $5,000, on February 9, 2008. Wishes & More, located in Fridley, MN, was
founded in the fall of 2004 with the mission of granting the special
wishes of Minnesota
young people from birth to age 19, with terminal or life-threatening
conditions. Besides doing this, Wishes & More (a) provides wish
children with “Scholarships of Hope” to help cover their higher education
expenses; and (b) provides memorial gifts to the families of children who
do not live to see their wishes granted.
Due in part to the
Jade Foundation grant, Wishes & More was able to meet their
fundraising goal for the Valentine Ball, and grant the wishes of young
people such as Brittni, who wanted to attend the Minnesota Twins’ spring
training and meet the team. Find Brittni’s
story here – it is heartwarming! The guest of honor at the Ball was
Tasiyah, a lovely young lady whose wish was to spend her fourth birthday
at Disney World. Click here

to other tax-exempt organizations which provide assistance to children
with physical or emotional handicaps or mental challenges and to children
affected by drug or alcohol abuse or who are victims of violence.
