The Jade Foundation has awarded a grant to the Little Flyers Therapeutic Preschool Program at Peace of Mind Early Learning Center in Woodbury, MN. This program helps young children with social/emotional/behavioral challenges to learn self-regulation skills and pro-social behaviors. Staff also provide support to families of these children.

On May 31 of this year, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reported that the Little Flyers program was facing the prospect of closing due to insufficient funding. Due in part to the Jade Foundation's grant, however, Little Flyers will probably be able to keep right on providing services to special kids and their families!

The Jade Foundation is also awarding a grant to Save our Sons, Inc., based in St. Paul, MN. This organization provides mentoring and support to African American teen men.

The Jade Foundation is a tax-qualified 501(c)(3) charity; therefore contributions are tax deductible to the extent of the tax laws. The Jade Foundation raises money directly in the community to make grants to other tax-exempt organizations which provide assistance to children with physical or emotional handicaps or mental challenges and to children affected by drug or alcohol abuse or who are victims of violence.
